Wellington SeniorNet helps and supports Wellingtonians over 50 to learn and enjoy using technology. We are part of a New Zealand wide network of SeniorNets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you feel you need to keep up with the young people in your life, if you are having problems with your computer, tablet or phone, if you simply want to know more about how technology works and what you can do with it \u2013 why not check us out? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our volunteer tutors are all older experienced users and former students who understand the special needs of older learners. Learning sessions are relaxed and will be done at your pace. You can start learning at any level. You can be a complete novice right through to an experienced user wanting to learn new skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have a choice of different learning styles and sessions from structured courses and workshops to free-flowing, question and answer style sessions, special interest groups (SIGs) and one-on-one assistance at the Help Centre.
Membership is $25 for a full year, with reduced rates for those joining part way through the year. There are modest charges for courses, workshops and the Help Centre; Special Interest Groups are free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All scheduled learning opportunities are shown on our calendar<\/a>, and closer to their date they will also appear on our home page<\/a> and this will tell you if there is a cost and how to register. Pre-registration is essential for our popular sessions. 
A weekly email to members also provides details of what’s coming up in the next fortnight.

Presentations and Workshops<\/strong>
Workshops provide a 2-hour presentation on a variety of interesting topics suggested by members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Short Courses<\/strong>
Short courses are more hands-on than the workshops. Short courses are generally taught in the classroom where all students have access to one of our PCs. \u200b<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Help Centre (weekly)<\/strong> – for<\/strong> one on one assistance<\/strong>
The Help Centre is set up to help those new to computers and those wishing to upgrade their skills or experiencing problems using their device. We offer one-to-one assistance in a cheerful, friendly environment and while we don\u2019t have all the answers we can usually point you in the right direction.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

This users group is for computer users at all levels of experience.
